Togari Onsen 戸狩温泉 (รวมพลนักกีฬาปากดีทั่วคันไซ)

My weekend escape was to Togari Onsen this time. Yes, it's another Ski resort in Nagano Prefecture. This time we went in quite a large group of 15 members from Kansai area. Mai, Jill, Nott, P'Ton, P'Yooh, P'Num', Lar+ and Nhong from Kyoto. Palang, Taweii, Ae+, N'Bow and P'Art from Osaka. And P'Ple and P'Aik from Kobe.

We left Kansai Friday night and reached Togari Onsen early morning on Saturday. Then started our day torturing ourselves skiing/snowboarding from then for 2 days. This trip was my first time to have more snowboarding pals then skiiers. It's such a painful sport, but indeed fun (when you can properly ski/snowboard). My new snowboard pals hurt themselves a whole lot the whole weekend through. But they are fast learners. Some of then even can do the 'S' moves already on the second day!! So impressive. Don't give up just yet. Keep trying, k!

Accidentally ran into some Tokyo members! So surprised. Of all ski resorts in Japan and of all the time available, we happened to come to the same ski resort at the very same time!!
Togari Onsen is not a great ski slope for snowboarders -- too many flat areas. The lift connections were also not that great. But the scenery was beautiful. We can see two other ski resorts from our slope. Lucky we were to have great weather for the whole 2 days. We got great sunshine during the day and snowfalls at night. So great feeling being in the outdoor onsen (hot spring) while it was snowing. ^^ We also got to try the Apple Onsen (they put apple in the onsen to generate apple smell!) Interesting indeed!
