ฟ้าสว่าง...

ตอนนี้ได้หลายความหมายมากๆ คืออยู่มาถึงเช้า ฟ้าก็สว่างเข้าจริงๆ แต่จริงๆแล้วประเด็นคือว่าฟ้ามันสว่างในใจ (วี๊ด..วิ่ว...) เพราะในที่สุดก็ได้เมลล์มาจากอาจารย์นี่เอง ถึงแม้ว่าอาจารย์จะยังไม่ได้ทำอะไรกับวิทยานิพนธ์เราเลยก็ตาม แต่ก็ได้มอบหมายให้อาจารย์คนอื่นดูให้แล้ว เพียงแค่ได้เมลล์เท่านี้ก็ทำให้เริ่มเห็นอนาคตขึ้นมานิดหน่อย สบายใจไปอีกหลายต่อ แล้วก็ยกภูเขาออกจากอกไปอีกหนึ่งลูกคือว่าบอกอาจารย์ไปแล้วว่าจะไม่อยู่ 5-7 ม.ค. เพียงแต่ไม่ได้บอกว่าจะไปเล่นบอร์ดเท่านั้นเอง (ใครจะกล้าบอกว่าจะไปเที่ยวเล่นตอนหน้าสิ่วหน้าขวานแบบนี้อ่ะเน๊อะ...) อาจารย์จะทักท้วงมั้ยเนี่ยะ... ตาซ้ายกระตุกมาตั้งแต่บ่าย จะเป็นลางดีจริงๆรึึเปล่าน้า ตอนนี้เหลืองานอย่างสุดท้ายแล้วที่ต้องทำ คือภาษาญี่ปุ่นอันนั้นเอง (ไม่นับที่จะต้องแก้) แค่เท่านี้ก็รู้สึกว่าฟ้ากระจ่างแล้วสำหรับตอนนี้ ขอแค่ไม่ให้มีพายุมาซัดเอาตอนจะส่งงานจริงๆละกัน เพี้ยง....ง

ขี้เกียจจริงๆ

ตอนนี้อารมณ์ขี้เกียจ...รับปีใหม่เลย หลังจากปั่นงานเสร็จทันตามที่ตั้งใจ พร้อมส่งให้อาจารย์ไปแล้ว แล้วก็หนีไปเที่ยวโกเบมาเรียบร้อยแล้ว ปรากฏว่าอาจารย์ที่รักยังไม่ยอมอ่านวิทยานิพนธ์เราเลย แงๆ ตอนนี้ก็เลยเก็บตกทำนู่นทำนี่ที่ยังไม่เรียบร้อยไปเรื่อยๆ เมื่อคืนเกิดอาการลนขึ้นมาชั่วขณะ มีท่านพี่ใจดีเอาตัวอย่างมาให้เราใช้เป็นแนวทาง (ภาษาง่ายๆก็คือลอกนี่เอง) ก็ทำให้ปั่นงานเสร็จไปอีกสองอย่าง ทีนี้เหลือแค่ปล้ำบทย่อภาษาญี่ปุ่น อันนี้ไม่รู้จะไปเอาแนวทางจากไหนแล้วสิ แล้วก็เหลือแก้ไขที่เขียนๆไปเล็กๆน้อยๆ รอวันอาจารย์เรียกขึ้นเขียงนี่แหล่ะ อนาคตอันเลือนลางของเรา เมื่อไหร่น้อออ....อ ไม่ใช่ว่าอยากขึ้นเขียงนะ แต่คิดว่ารีบๆเรียก รีบๆแก้ ทำให้เสร็จๆไป จะได้สบายใจซักที

อากาศก็หนาวอยู่ตัวแล้ว ไม่ค่อยอยากออกไปนอกบ้านเลย เปิดฮีทเตอร์กระหน่ำ ค่าไฟกระฉูดแน่นอน แต่เพื่อความอบอุ่นแล้ว ถึงไหนถึงกัน ไม่อยากทนหนาวเท่าไหร่ ได้บ่อน้ำร้อนที่ยิมมาช่วยทำให้ทนความหนาวดีขึ้น ก็ดีไปอีกอย่าง

เค้าว่ากันว่าปีใหม่ที่ญี่ปุ่นมีแต่ความเงียบ ทุกคนกลับบ้านตัวเองไปฉลองปีใหม่หมด ร้านค้าก็ปิดเป็นส่วนใหญ่ หลายๆคนโดนอานิสงส์ของปีใหม่กันไปแล้ว เราก็โดนไปแล้วเพราะตั้งใจจะไปห้องสมุดเมื่อวันก่อน ปรากฏว่าห้องสมุดปิดตั้งแต่วันที่ 27 ธ.ค. กรณีนี้ก็เร็วเกิน ไปถึงก็ยืนอึ้งอยู่หน้าห้องเลย กะว่ายังไม่ปิดแท้ๆ พรุ่งนี้พวกสถานที่ราชการ ร้านค้าถึงจะเริ่มปิดช่วงปีใหม่แล้ว (กรณีนี้เรียกว่าปกติ... เค้าปิดกัน 29 ธ.ค. - 3 ม.ค.) ด้วยความกลัวไม่มีอะไรกิน ก็เลยไปตุนอาหารมาจนเกือบเต็มตู้เย็น หมักนู่น หมักนี่ทิ้งไว้เต็มเลย กะว่าไ่ม่อดตายแน่ๆ ช่วงก่อนหน้านี้มีคนทักเยอะว่าผอมลง เลยเริ่มรู้ตัวว่าน้ำหนักลดลงไปนี่เอง ช่วงหลังๆนี่เลยกินดะกะเอาคืน (แล้วก็คืนมาเกินไปหน่อยแล้ววว)

ปีใหม่นี้ทำอะไรดีน้าาา อยากไปตักบาตรที่ระยองจัง ไม่ได้ตักบาตรมาหลายปีดีดัก ปีนี้ก็ต้องขออานิสงส์พี่ป้าน้าอาที่ไปตักช่วยนึกถึงเราด้วยคน ^^ สาธุ...

Asahi Newspaper

Ho~~ Ho~~... I was on Asahi Newspaper!!!

Got a message from Eriko, my Japanese friend, a few days ago that she saw me on the paper. It was right on Christmas in Asahi Newspaper, Osaka version. Eriko was really kind to send me the real paper clip. I realized then that not only me, but a few friends from Kansai area were on the paper with me too. :) The clip was to introduce Nihon-Thai club, a club that gathers those who loves Thailand. The activity Thai students get to join them the most is to participate in Tenjin Matsuri, which I have written about earlier. And yes, the picture appeared in the newspaper was a part of this festival. But oh well.. doesn't matter what it was for... the significant is only that I was in the paper!! And it was the Asahi!! haha =P. (Asahi is one of the most famous newspaper here in Japan, probably as famous as Thairath mung~~(??) ^^)

In the memorial of Tsunami

It has already been a year since Tsunami hit several countries along the edge of Indian Ocean. I'd like to dedicate my blog today for those who lost their lives and loved ones, as well as those whose shelters are lost or damaged from this unforgetable natural disaster.

And the present for myself was to go over to KOBE and celebrate upon finishing my paper final draft!! Always great times in Kobe for me. I left Kyoto right after leaving my finished paper at my prof's office (he wasn't there though). Got there, walked around a bit before joining the Thais in Kobe for Xmas dinner and a Thai Karaoke (<-- this has been ages for me! ;-) ) Fun night.. fun night.. N'Bow and I spent a night there. Of course, where else could I be staying if it's not my beloved Mary's?!?!

Some Kyoto Crew came over to Kobe for sightseeing on Saturday. Two of Nott's friends came over from the US. So yeah.. we toured around Kobe along the usual scenic route. This time we started off from Chinatown though cuz it was already near lunch time. Chinatown --> Meriken Park & Earthquake Memorial --> Mosaic --> Sweet Harbourland --> Kitano --> Sannomiya. What we did the most was probably eating! (well ... kinda equivalent to walking, huh?) Thanks so much Mary. We always have good times together. Merry Christmas to you. And Merry Christmas to everyone :)

เครียด

วันนี้เตือนคนอ่านก่อนอ่านบล๊อกเรา.. คือว่าอ่านแล้วจะไม่จรรโลงเลย แต่ขอใช้เป็นที่ละลายความเครียดหน่อยละกันนะ

คือว่าเครียดดดดดคร้าบบบบบบบบบบ หายใจไม่ค่อยทั่วท้องเท่าไหร่ คือใจมันอยากให้งานเสร็จมากๆแล้ว คือมันนานแล้ว ควรจะเสร็จได้แล้ว เมื่อวานก็เลยบอกอาจารย์ไปว่าเดี๋ยวสิ้นอาทิตย์นี้จะเอาไปส่ง เพราะว่าก็เหลืออีกไม่เยอะแล้ว ปรากฏว่า.... พอกลับมาเขียนด่านสำคัญด่านสุดท้าย เกิดติดแหง็ก ไม่ไปไหนเลยอ่ะ อ่านมาร้อยรอบแล้ว จะแก้ยังไงให้มันดูเป็นผู้เป็นคนดีก็ไม่รู้ ชักนึกไม่ออก พอนึกไม่ออกก็เครียด พอเครียดก็ลน เพราะกลัวทำไม่เสร็จจริงๆ จะหนีไปทำอย่างอื่น จะไปนอนก็ไม่กล้า เพราะเวลาก็เหลือน้อยเต็มที หรือว่าคนเราจะส่งงานเนี่ยะ มันต้องมีอารมณ์กลัวเสร็จไม่ทัน บางคนต้องหลั่งน้ำตาก่อนถึงจะทำเสร็จได้ หรือว่าไงหว่า จำได้ว่าตอนจบตรี รายงานฉบับสุดท้ายก็เล่นเอาไม่ได้นอนไปทั้งคืน เพราะว่าข้อมูลที่เคยเก็บมาตลอดเกือบสองเดือน เกิดเอามารันผลไม่สำเร็จ ได้ผลชนิดสรุปไม่ได้ ก็ต้องมาเก็บใหม่ ประมวลใหม่ภายในคืนนั้น ดีนะเป็นรายงานกลุ่ม สมองเราช็อตไปแล้วคืนนั้น เพื่อนว่าไงก็ว่าตามกัน (ว่าแล้วก็ขอบใจมากกกก ไม่ได้แกคืนนั้น ชั้นตายแหงมๆ) คิดแล้วก็ยิ้มออก คงไม่มีอะไรเลวร้ายไปกว่านั้นได้อีกแล้วละม้างง เออ ตลกตัวเองจัง แค่คิดถึงคืนวันนั้นแล้วความเครียดในตอนนี้ละลายหายไปเกือบหมดเลย ยิ้มได้ละ เย้.. (คนอ่านอย่าเพิ่งตกใจ ... ยังไม่บ้านะ ... แต่อาจจะใกล้แล้วอ่ะนะ ... เฮ้อ เฮ้อ) สรุปว่าวันนี้มาใช้บล๊อกสลัดความเครียด อ้อ... ได้หม้อหุงข้าวมาละ ใหม่เอี่ยม เลยฉลองด้วยการทำอาหารมากมายกินกันกับจิ๋วเมื่อวาน วันนี้จิ๋วก็เอางานไปส่งที่โรงเรียนแล้ว รายนั้นก็เส้นยาแดงผ่าแปดเลยเหมือนกัน หวังว่าของเราจะไม่ทารุณเท่าของจิ๋วอ่ะนะ อย่างน้อยก็ขอเสร็จก่อนซักนิดก็ยังดี ยังอยากสุขสันต์วันปีใหม่อยู่ แล้วก็ยังอยากไปเล่นบอร์ดต้นปีด้วย เพี้ยงงงงง.... ขอให้งานเสร็จภายในอาทิตย์นี้อย่างที่ไปสัญญากับอาจารย์ไว้ด้วยเถิดดดด....ด

Sorry English reading people -- been getting a bit hooked up writing my blog in Thai for a few times. Today's nothing much. I just came in to blab about my stress -- running short of time to complete my thesis writing. Been stuck at the same place for too long and my heart goes faster than my mind. It has been taking too long already. I really wish to get it done any time soon, but it doesn't seem to be just yet. After writing this blog, somehow I felt a bit better. I could smile already =) Will use this to boost my energy and brain to wrap up the writing for tonight. Hopefully I will come close to ending it soon! Wish me luck!!

ใครว่าไม่มีหม้อหุงข้าวแล้วกินข้าวไม่ได้....?

ความคิดนี้หายไปทันทีที่ได้กินข้าวเย็นวันนี้... เพราะ... (ไม่ช่ายยยย ไม่ได้ไปแย่งข้าวบ้านใครกิน .. ถึงแม้ว่าจะกินข้าวนอกบ้านมาตั้งแต่เมื่อวานนี้ก็ตามมม...) จริงๆก็เป็นเพราะเรานึกได้ว่าเรายังมีอีกเมนูเด็ดที่ลืมคิดไปเลย
มันคือ.... ข้าวต้มหมูสูตรคุณหมอผู้หญิงประจำบ้านเรานี่นา อิอิ นึกได้ก็รีบปฏิบัติการทำซะเลย

กินข้าวต้มวันนี้ก็ดีเหมือนกัน เพราะก็ไม่ได้กินข้าวที่บ้านมาหลายวัน แล้ววันนี้อากาศหนาวมหัศจรรย์ -4 องศา หิมะตกตั้งแต่เช้าเลย แต่ไม่ได้อยู่บ้านตอนหิมะตก เมื่อคืนหนีไปค้างบ้านเพื่อนที่โอซาก้ามา กลับบ้านก็บ่ายๆวันนี้ หิมะมันก็ละลายหายไปกับแสงแดดแล้ว แต่แถวบ้านยังเห็นร่องรอยของหิมะตกพอสมควรเลย ภูเขาหลังบ้านก็ขาวโพลน แถมหิมะในตะกร้ารถจักรยานเราก็ไม่ได้ละลายหายไปพร้อมกับแสงอาทิตย์ อย่างหิมะบนถนนด้วยอ่ะนะ แล้วรู้สึกเหมือนจะเป็นหวัด แต่พยายามฝืนไม่ใ้ห้เป็นอยู่ เพราะว่างานอยู่ในช่วงโค้งสุดท้ายแล้ว ถ้าป่วยตอนนี้ก็เป็นอันจบกัน ฉะนั้นต้องรีบทำให้เสร็จเร็วๆ ตกเย็นแวะไปแช่น้ำร้อนที่ยิมมา วันนี้บ่อน้ำร้อนที่ยิมร้อนไม่สะใจเลยอ่ะนะ แต่ก็ยังดีกว่าไม่ได้แช่ ขากลับบ้านหิมะตกอีกแล้ว

ปีนี้มันเป็นอะไรกัน หนาวเร๊วววว...เร็ว... หิมะก็ขยันตกเหลือเกิน แต่ได้ข้าวต้มร้อนๆ ถ้วยนึงก็ดีเหมือนกันเน๊อะ.. ^^

ชีวิตไร้หม้อหุงข้าว….

วันนี้ครึ้ม... เกิดอารมณ์อยากเขียนบล๊อกภาษาไทยจัง...

หลังจากที่หม้อหุงข้าวเจ๊งไป ของใหม่ก็ที่สั่งไว้ก็ยังส่งมาไม่ถึง (แถมมีการเมลล์มาบอกด้วยว่าของจะส่งมาถึงช้า.. ต้องรอถึงกลางอาทิตย์หน้าแหน่ะ...) เราก็เริ่มจนปัญญาในการทำอาหารชนิดเส้นกิน หลังจากที่ซัดราดหน้าเนื้อสับไปสองวัน ซัดขนมจีนแกงเขียวหวานไปอีกไม่รู้กี่มื้อ อาศัยการกินข้าวที่โรงเรียนเวลาที่ต้องไปโรงเรียน แล้วก็ไปแอบตอดข้าวเย็นบ้านพี่ต้นกินมาอีกเมื่อวานนี้ วันนี้อาหารเส้นที่เราเตรียมไว้ที่บ้านก็หมดลง เราก็เลยหาข้ออ้างในการมาเดิน Qanat ห้างไฮโซแถวๆบ้านเราเพื่อมาหาข้าวเย็นกิน (จริงๆมีข้ออ้างหลายอย่าง.. ต้องไปส่งไปรษณีย์แถวๆ นั้น แล้วก็ต้องเอาขยะรีไซเคิลไปทิ้ง แล้วก็ไปซื้อตั๋วรถไฟ..ฯลฯ.. เห็นม๊ะ.. หาได้ตั้งหลายข้อ) ก็รู้อ่ะนะว่าดาบสุดท้ายคือมาม่า.. แต่ทำไมไม่รู้ ไม่ค่อยอยากกินเลยมาม่าเนี่ยะ ก็เนี่ยะ.. เลยมาเดิน Qanat มุ่งหน้าตรงไปยังศูนย์อาหาร ที่มีร้านอาหารอยู่ไม่กี่ร้านหรอก... จริงๆไม่ได้กินข้าวมาหลายวัน ก็น่าจะอยากกินข้าวเน๊อะ แต่ก็ไม่รู้ทำไม วันนี้บิบิมบะอาหารเกาหลีก็ไม่อยากกิน อุด้งแกงกะหรี่ก็ไม่อยากกิน เลยเดินเข้าไปต่อคิว McDonald's ซะเฉยๆ แล้วก็เอาวะ วันนี้กินแม๊คก็ได้ สั่ง double cheese burger set (โห... ไม่จั๊งค์ แล้วก็ไม่อ้วนเล้ยยยย แต่เอานะ.. นานๆที ช่วงนี้น้ำหนักลงอีกต่างหาก หายไปเกือบกิโลครึ่งแล้วภายในไม่นานนี้เอง แล้วก็อยากอาหารจั๊งค์ขึ้นมาเฉยๆ...) สั่งเสร็จ 530 เยน ก็เหลือบไปเห็นป้ายที่เมนูที่เค้าขายเป็นชิ้นๆ ปกติไปแม๊คมันเป็นนิสัยต้องสั่งเป็นชุดเน๊อะ ทำไมก็ไม่รู้อ่ะ แล้วก็ค้นพบว่าจริงๆแล้ว double cheese burger ชิ้นนึงมัน 220 เยน มันฝรั่งทอดขนาดกลางก็ 200 เยน ก็รวมเป็น 420 เยนเองใช่ป่ะ แล้วตาดั๊นนนนนน เหลือบไปเห็นว่าน้ำเค้าขายแก้วละ 100 เยนเอง.. รวมกันก็แค่ 520 เยน ต๊าย... ตาย.. โดนแม๊คมันหลอกให้สั่งเป็นเซ็ตแล้วเก็บตังค์เยอะขึ้นเหรอเนี่ยะ... ก็ตกใจไปสามวินาที แล้วก็เห็นข้างหลังเมนูน้ำเขียนว่า S เลยถึงบางอ้อ ว่า. ..อ๋อ.. น้ำมันแก้วเล็กนี่เอง ถึงได้ราคา 100 เยน (ปลอบใจตัวเอง) แต่ก็ได้รู้อย่างนึงล่ะว่าถ้าอยากอาหารจั๊งค์แบบให้กินพอหายอยากเนี่ยะ ไม่ต้องจ่ายถึง 530 เยนก็ได้ เอาแค่ cheese burger ธรรมดาไม่ต้องดับเบิ้ลก็ชิ้นละ 100 เยนเอง เฮ้อ เฮ้อ...

นั่งกินๆอยู่ก็สอดส่ายสายตาดูคนโน้นทีคนนี้ที การนั่งดูคนอื่นดำเนินชีวิตก็เป็นเรื่องสนุกอีกอย่างที่ชอบทำ คนอื่นเค้าก็อาจจะนั่งมองเรากินเหมือนกันล่ะนะ แต่ก็ไม่เป็นไร เรายังไปนั่งดูคนอื่นเค้ากินเลย มีแม่พาลูกสาวสองคนมากิน อีกโต๊ะนึงเป็นแม่ฝรั่งพาลูกชายหน้าตาเหมือนลูกครึ่งมากินแม๊ค มีคุณลุงซึ้อซูชิกล่องมานั่งกินหลบมุมด้วย มองไปข้างๆกล่องมีกระป๋อง shuhai วางอยู่ เลยแอบพาลไปนึกถึงบล๊อกพี่โชย แล้วก็คิดว่า คุณลุงคนนี้สงสัยเป็นลูกค้าประจำร้านหมอฟันแน่ๆเลย (อิอิ.. คิดไปนู่น..) แล้วก็เห็นน้องๆประถมสองคนเดินมาถึงโต๊ะข้างๆ แล้วก็เป่ายิงฉุบกันเฉยเลยอ่ะ คือเค้าเป่ายิงฉุบให้เลือกว่าใครจะนั่งฝั่งไหน เออ.. ตลกดี อีกพักนึงก็เห็นนักเรียนมหา’ลัยคู่นึงกินกำลังจะเสร็จก็เป่ายิงฉุบกันเหมือนกัน ด้วยความสนใจเลยนั่งมองว่าเค้าเป่ายิงฉุบทำไร ปรากฏว่าเค้าเป่ายิงฉุบแบ่งกันว่าใครจะเอาอะไรไปทิ้ง อย่างนี้เค้าเรียกว่าเมืองแห่งความยุติธรรมรึเปล่าเนี่ยะ น่าสนใจดีจริงๆ แต่น่าสังเกตว่ามีแต่นักเรียนผู้หญิงเท่านั้นที่ทำกันนะเนี่ยะ อย่างนี้เวลานักเรียนชายเค้าจะแบ่งกันทำอะไรเค้าเป่ายิงฉุบเหมือนกันรึเปล่าหว่า...

ตอนนี้มาแอบแฝงตัวอยู่ใน Starbucks นั่งทำงาน แต่ก็แอบมาเขียนบล๊อกจนได้ คือฝรั่งที่นั่งข้างๆ (แอบฟังเค้าคุยกับพนักงาน.. รู้สึกว่าจะเป็นคนเยอรมัน) เค้าดูจะสนใจมากๆเลยว่าเรากำลังทำอะไรอยู่ มีชะโงกหน้ามาด้วยนิดนึงอ่ะ คนอุตส่าห์กำลังตั้งใจทำงาน ก็เลยเปลี่ยนหน้าจอมาพิมพ์ภาษาไทยให้มันอ่านไม่ออกเล่นดีกว่า.. อิอิ นั่งๆอยู่ก็ลาภปาก พนักงาน starbucks เอาชีสเค้กอันใหม่มาให้ลองชิม หวานชะมัด แต่ของฟรี อร่อยก็ได้.. ไม่ว่ากัน.. ฮาฮา ตอนนี้มีเมนูใหม่คือ white chocolate cocoa ตอนแรกนึกว่าเค้าทำเป็น mocha อย่างเดียว ปรากฎเค้าบอกว่าทำเป็น cocoa ให้ก็ได้ เลยคราวหน้าจะมาลอง สำหรับคนที่สงสัย.. .ไม่ต้องสงสัย คือเราก็เป็นขาประจำ starbucks นะ ชอบไปนั่งทำงานที่ starbucks หรือร้านกาแฟอย่างนี้แหล่ะ แต่หารู้ไม่ว่าจริงๆแล้วเป็นคนกินกาแฟไม่ได้ =P เพื่อนๆหลายคนก็งงไปตามๆกัน ว่าแกไม่กินกาแฟแล้วไปนั่งทำไมที่ร้านกาแฟอ่ะ ก็นะ.. มันนั่งทำงานสบายนี่นา แล้วขอโทษแถวนี้มีร้านน้ำชานั่งได้ด้วยรือ ที่สำคัญร้านกาแฟก็ขายเครื่องดื่มที่ไม่ใช่กาแฟเหมือนกันนะค้า เวลาเข้าไปในร้านไม่ต้องคิดมาก เพราะว่าสั่งได้อยู่ไม่กี่อย่างหรอก

.. ได้เวลา ห้างปิด.. ต้องจรลีกลับบ้านแล้วล่ะ

ป.ล. พนักงาน starbucks คนนึงจำเราได้ด้วย (คนที่เอาเค้กมาให้กินนั่นแหล่ะ) ไม่ได้เจอเค้ามาตั้งนาน เพราะก็ไม่ค่อยได้มาที่สาขานี้เวลานี้อ่ะ แต่เค้าจำได้เพราะแก้ว starbucks ที่เรามีมันไม่เหมือนใคร (ซื้อมาจากเมืองไทยเมื่อสามสี่ปีที่แล้ว เป็นแบบที่ปัจจุบันไม่มีขายแล้ว แล้วก็ไม่มีขายในญี่ปุ่นด้วย) วันนี้เค้าก็เลยมาคุยด้วยอีก แล้วมีหยอดคำชมว่าพูดภาษาญี่ปุ่นเก่งขึ้น เจอกันครั้งแรกเมื่อราวๆเดือนม.ค. หรือก.พ. ตอนต้นปีนี่แหล่ะ ยังพูดไม่ค่อยได้ ตอนนี้ก็ใช่ว่าจะพูดได้ดีเท่าไหร่ แต่ไหนๆเค้าก็ชมแล้ว ก็จะปฏิเสธคำชมไปทำไม รับมาไว้นอนกอดเลยคืนนี้ดีกว่า... =)

blogging sloooww....w!

whoaa..... it has been nearly a week I didn't update my blog, huh! Well, there weren't nothing much going on except that I was and still am trying to finish up my thesis writing. Dang! It has been taking so much longer than I thought it would!!! But anyways, I already submitted half of the writing to my professor earlier this week. I'm now hoping to be able to fill up the rest by next week.

As a break inbetween this cramming season, I decided to go out for a decent dinner in town with my Taiwanese friend who came back for a visit on Wednesday. (Of course, my decent dinner was the tonkatsu at Katsukura!! haha. My rice cooker broke down, so I was craving for good rice.. ieie. Anyways.. decided to go for the sanjyo branch. I think I like it there the best out of all the branches around, but..... this time when I got there, I realized they changed the restaurant manager!!! The new one was really not as impressive as the old one.... (T_T) sigh sigh!!)


Also yesterday, I totally forgot I intended to attend one class at school. My friend said there would be a sush party (yes.. yes.. food attraction!! =P) Well, this class is the class I attended for all semesters since I started school here except for this time. So it probably wouldn't be too akward to appear there. Plus, I know a lot of students in that class anyways. There were having 2 thesis presentations before the party. It turned out that one of the presenters was absent from illness. So when I reached there, I was asked to present mine!! aarr... I didn't really prepare for anything except bringing along an old copy of presentation handout I did for a conference a few weeks ago which has turned into my thesis scratch papers already! The professor didn't care if it was a neat copy or not, so we had that copied and distributed around the class -- sooooo embarrassing!! The worst thing was that this presentation was in English! So I had to challenge myself trying to explain that in Japanese without a bit of preparation <-- felt a bit dumb, but... well... Sooo..., toward the end, I kinda gave up and shot everything out in English. =P This professor was so kind enough to even help translate what I said to the rest of the class too!! ;-) So there went my thesis presentation again. Truly have no idea how many times I did it already. But it was indeed a good decision. At least I was able to get more feedback from my respected professor and also other classmates too.

Okie doke... long enough for today. back to work!

Congratulations my dear friends...

Though my school work now is piling up like a mountain (my thesis due date is approaching really soon)... I just have to come in to write a short blog today for my two dear friends, Aaron and Pear.


As I've mentioned in a few posts before this that Aaron is back to Kyoto for a short visit. We just have the greatest news to announce. Aaron and Pear are no longer boyfriend/girlfriend!!! They are fiances'!!!! Congratulations to you two!!! You will definitely make a good couple. I'm truly happy for you. Joining you guys for dinner and a little drink tonight reconfirmed my thought about that. So glad to get to see you again, Aaron! Definitely hope to see you again in the future (and of course for your wedding!)

Winter is here

By Japanese Calendar, Dec 1 is considered a start of the winter. Despite that, it doesn't usually get that cold until probably mid-Dec or toward the end of the year. Who the heck would expect it to get this cold all of the sudden! I saw in the weather forecast that there might be snow on the 5th, I was still thinking how could that possibly be. We just barely finished our red maple trips not even a week then. But well.. it was indeed scatteredly snowing that day! It was totally freezing cold when we went to Osaka to attend the King's birthday function.

One of my friends came to spend a night at my place and we were surprise to see our neighbor's roof's partially covered with white snowfall around 1 a.m. But what shocked me the most was the following morning when I looked out the window and there went super huge snowflakes all over the sky. The mountains went white! Nothing stayed though. Everything melted right after the sun goes up. Winter started too early!!! It's too cold now!!! This makes it so difficult to drag myself outta the house. My ears are ready to fall off while riding bicycle!!! =P But one thing I realized about it (maybe two) is that the winter makes going to onsen (hot spring) the most pleasant time of all. And that there will surely be enough snow for my upcoming snowboarding season!! Yeah!!

Btw, I don't think the song 'Winter Wind' (ลมหนาว) by 'Tea for Three' works in the real winter anymore. There found no romantic moments here at all. We don't need any wind to feel the cold. It's already cold without the wind!!!! Will that someone really can help you to go through this torturing cold?!?!? ;-) brrrrr~~~~

King's birthday reception in Osaka

As mentioned in the previous post that December 5th is our great King's birthday, The Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates always organize a reception party inviting key persons in the residing countries to pay respect to our King. Of course, all Thai nationals are allowed to attend the function at our own will. This year was my third after the one in Malaysia (2003) and here in Osaka last year. This year's celebration was held at New Otani Hotel near Osaka Castle.

I also just had a chance to watch our King's speech given on December 4 (after already read the whole script on spot that night). Definitely looking at his appearance while giving speech was much better than just reading the script off from the newspaper. The more I live, the more I love our King. Long Live the King!

Welcome Aaron!!

Mr. Aaron is back in Kyoto!! Welcome back, even if it's only a short period of time. =) It was nice to be at Pear's house to greet you welcome today. (But I'm sure you were super duper tired from your long flight -- so sorry to have taken so long there in her house!! ;-) ) Anyways, not that much story here except that I have everyone's request for the picture below.
