Dinner with high school friends

It has been a really long time since I had a chance to join any gatherings with my high school friends. This time was just perfect, I am home when there is a gathering! ;-) It was also a great day to reunite with Yok, my elementary school friend who I haven't met since she left our school at the age 11. She doesn't change a bit! Also Aom and New since their return from Japan. How I wish they are still in Japan now!!! Meeting old friends was just great. A lot of them I haven't seen in years. I hope I am here more to have a chance to spend more time with them. You guys wait, k! I will come back!!!

AISE#3 reunion

pYui, Nute, Mai, Gam, Mew, Pan, Kiam

Another great time catching up with old friends. A lot of people wonder why we are still in touch until now though we hardly saw each other over the past decade. I guess it's the shared memories that have kept us together. We were first brought together in 1993 as the successful candidates to join an exchange program to the US in 1994-1995. Coming to think of it, we came from so many different places, hometowns, schools... etc... But the one thing we had in common was the experience living in the US with the unknown in the age of no internet. A lot of us were mental support for each other during the rought times. We also shared good memories too.

It has now been more than 10 years, but our great friendship is still held alive. Too bad we only could get this many of us together this time, but hopefully we will be able to gather more in the future reunions! Looking forward to meet the rest soon!!

Nong Nate

My cousins and their son, Nate. (Yes, I'm officially an auntie now!) =P My mom said he looks so much like my older sister, but afterward, we agreed that he looks much more like his daddy! (the VDO we had of his dad just proved that very true! ;-) )

Fresh Market in Rayong

Today I have some pictures of the local fresh market of Rayong, a province to the Eastern part of Thailand, a hometown of my mom. We went to get some ingredients for our dinner. The markets like this is hardly seen anymore in central Bangkok, but is still kinda common elsewhere. My mom told me that if you want to know about that place, browse through their fresh markets. It's not just the goods they sell, but it's the local way of living you can explore!

Computer and ants

Anyone ever had problems having ants in your laptop? I don't know why. This is my second time already. I realized there are ants around my bedroom. Traced its track and found its ending route inside my laptop computer! Gee, the same thing happened with my old laptop too. I definitely don't have food in there for ants to go in. The funny thing is that when I moved my laptop downstairs and placed it next to my dad's, those ants still chose to go only into my laptop!!! What the heck?!?!?!

A New Hair Cut

A brief touch of what I have been doing since I got home.

I got home late Friday night and directly went out shopping on Saturday with pTaew who happened to be in Bangkok on duty. We had lunch at Emporium with Jill and pBook, my family's friend before heading to Sum Peng! Then, I came home, had family dinner, watched Academy Fantasia 2 and went out again with my sister and brother-in-law. Gosh.... I haven't been nightouting for soooo long. Met lots of friends (including those from Japan - pTaew, Taweii, New and Om) and those I haven't seen in ages. So much fun.

Sunday, was a chill-chill day. But we had big unexpected gathering at our house. A bunch of my mom's friends came over for lunch - our house specialty (that yummy beef noodle!) Then Michael, my bro-in-law, and his friend. Then Eck and his mom later on the same evening for a visit.

Monday - we sent off Jill at the airport. And I spent the whole day with my mom wandering around Bangkok, plus lunch with Mommy-in-law and her friends at Penninsular Plaza before going to get our hair done. And I got a new haircut! yeehah! It has been a long time since I really do change a hair style. Now it's rather short (medium length) and super layered. No picture though, but I feel really light now!! =P The thing is... I don't know why I always get a hair cut after I bought a bunch of hair clips?!?! Now what shall I do with those clips?!?! hur hur..
