Loy Kratong (Full Moon) Festival

Just got some pictures from friends that we took at the festival. There was actually a Karaoke Contest too, but I went there too late that I even missed cheering my friends!!! So bad me..... deep apology to you guys nah~~. (T_T)

After karaoke contest, there followed the traditional 'Nang Noppamas' Contest. Originally, Nang Noppamas is a person who float the Kratong in the river, but because Nang Noppamas is supposed to be a beautiful lady, they created the beauty contest out of it. So Nang Noppamas is a special contest only for Loy Kratong event. We had that as well and we sent 2 delegates from Kyoto, N'Nan and N'Joy. N'Nan made it up the 3rd place (the 2nd runner up). Seeing all the contestants standing on stage and I really admire them. We people down the stage were in warm jackets, but they were with only light traditional costumes! And they were smiling! Whooo... it was really something. Thank you guys!!
