Escaping school for a day

Despite an enormous workload at the moment, I couldn't turn down a part time job today. It's an assistant/translator kinda job for a television program shooting in Kyoto-Osaka areas. Those who know me probably realized already that I'm a workaholic, an energetic, a hyperactive, or what-so-ever you'd love to call me. (But of course, I like working more than doing research!! =P) The first request was for FOUR days(!!), which of course, I don't have that much time spared. Plus, if I work for consecutive days, I will definitely have a hard time switching back to study mode (the real need at the moment). So yes, it came down to just a one day thing. PERFECT!

Today's the last day for the crews, so we did only a few shooting cites, plus a number of fill-up scenes. The crews were splitted into two teams, team A for shooting with navigator, and team B for mostly sceneries. I was with team A which has N'Galip (our newbie to Osaka University this year) as a main assistant from day 1. N'Galip is super brilliantly funny!! Just love her!!

The program is called "Princess Diary" and it's a program introducing tourist cites abroad by HRH Princess Ubolrat Ratchakanya. Each tape stars an invited actor/actress as a main navigator. We had P'Jeab Chernyim (เจี๊ยบ เชิญยิ้ม -- aka พี่ยม แห่งเป็นต่อ) this time. And our group moved from Kinkakuji, Kyoto Eika mura, Kyoto station, then bounded for Osaka's Universal Studio Japan and Kaiyukan.

It was one of a very fun and enjoyable work days. I really need this kind of school escape once in a while! The crew members (P'App, P'Boom+, P'Ruay and P'Jeab) were all very nice and easy to take care of. N'Galip was also very helpful. So happy to have found another hands who REALLY KNOWS how to handle works!
